Hello dear friends,
Here in Chicago, spring showers are promising green weeks ahead. Today's Postcard features hard working competitors vying to represent Team USA for the Coupe du Monde (World Cup) in Lyon France next year. Also featured is an inspiring chocolate sculpture from our talented friends in Australia.

Pastry Postcards
In anticipation of the Coupe du Monde 2011 in Lyon France, tryouts for team USA were held at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education in Grand Rapid Community College. Gilles Renusson, President of Club Coupe du Monde hosted the two day event. Seven contestants stepped up to the plate, three with Chocolate Showpieces, four with Sugar Showpieces. Piece Created at the Savour SchoolFor Mother's Day, this amazing chocolate flower display was created by Kirsten Tibballs, Paul Kennedy, Robyn Curnow and Seung Yun Lee using hand skills and a few of our custom leaf molds. At over 17 ft long by 6.5 ft high and 6.5 ft wide (and more than 1100 lbs. of couverture chocolate) it's worth looking at our Latest web page.
