Dear Friends and Culinary Enthusiasts!
Last but not least, this week's edition in the countdown to Pastry Live Weekend Pastry Postcards take us back to earlier this year:

2011 Casting Challenge
Professional Competition

(Miniseries 4 of 4) Pastry Postcard
This past March we returned to the Art Institute of Atlanta, home to instructor and organizer Chef Paul Bodrogi. Local and national pastry chefs gathered to compete, judge and socialize. We had several previous student-contestants that had come back to compete as professionals. To help promote and encourage innovative use of artisan silicone molds, all contestants received the same molds. The winning showpiece was judged based on artistic composition, use of color, kitchen work skills and new casting techniques. The event "kicked" up so much excitement that all the chefs decided to get together for a bigger event! The birth of Pastry Live...see what started all the fun, visit Pastry Postcards!

(Special thanks to Anekapol Rasmidatta 'Andy' for some of the more memorable photos)
