Count down to August 26-28th in Atlanta, Georgia!
2007 Casting Challenge-Student Competition (Miniseries 1 of 4)
The idea was simple; give seven pastry students the same ten molds and instruct the students to use the molds in as many different ways as possible to create a sugar showpiece and a chocolate amenity. Their skill, creativity and commitment would be the only variables. Together with their assistants they came prepared and went to work.
The camaraderie, innovative techniques and new ideas flowed. In two five-hour sessions the students were judged on their creative use of the molds, kitchen skills, and fulfillment of the competition's theme "Modern Nature." Take a trip back to the beginning, visit Pastry Postcards to share the experience.
